I am in need of getting this off my chest. I have been listening to a whole lot of NPR in the recent months and there are somethings that I don't understand about polatitions, and why they think that the american people are so stupid...and yet the people show their stupidity through support.

First off take a look at the House of Representatives. Republican majority. Now I grew up in a house divided between democrats and republicans. But I am sick of the bickering and "King of the Mountain" power stuggles. If we as people of the US are supporting Republicans to create a "balance" of political beliefs and view points then why the hell can't the people who run this country compermise without a power stuggle. Politics have become this game of which party can be "King of the Mountain" since George W. Bush was presidet. I don't feel like anyone is making decisions based on what people believe and want.

This "Us vs. Them" mentality of republicans and demicates are not doing the people any good. At what point is it the responsibility of my generation to step up and run for office, without the need to put other people down but to represent the people. It shouldn't matter how much experience we don't have in politics, because our generation always complains about not being given the chance to grow our experience. At what point do we take over for the boomers and tell them to quit arguing like 4 year olds who are so spoiled, they don't know how to share.

If we are a generation that wants things handed to us, then why don't we become a part of the government who can do that?

Second, doesn't anyone pay attention to history? At the beginning of the great depression, Hoover (a republican) kept mentioning that the most important thing to get the budget balanced, and yet not raise taxes and still get the people out of hunger and to boost the job market. Now the connection I make is that then, the republicans were screaming for a balanced budget without tax hike, and the whole damn market crashed! Now the republicans and tea party republicans are screaming for the same thing, including a balanced budget in the next 18 months like Hoover signed. And now our economy is tanking again. Now History always repeats itself if our "leaders" and I use the term loosely, don't pay attention to what sent our country into depression.

Now as we fall into the next depression following in the footsteps of history, we also know that along with programs, and WW2 was what helped get our nation out of the dpression. So what can we predict loosely? Well, with the unrest in the middle east, we can conclude that there is a posibility that WW3 will begin in the middle east. But if History shows us anything, Republicans are dangerous leaders. Wars, Depression, ect. Eisenhower=Vietnam Hoover=Great Depression
GH Bush=Gulf War GW Bush=Iraq War, and the War on Terrorism. Come on people think about who we are electing. People who by their conservative nature do nothing to help our country. Nor do they realize that we want to be progressive and slowly change, but there has to be some way to do it without the power struggle of conservative vs liberal.
